Four men, one calling

Four men, one calling

Four men, one calling: To serve and protect.

In the movie Courageous starring Alex Kendrick, there are four dads that are all cops for Albany, New York, and they are very playful guys that love to make jokes and play around but when a tragedy comes into Adam’s, one of the fathers lives, things change, and they aren’t too playful anymore. Things got serious.

Adam’s 9-year-old daughter died in a car accident. In a scene before she passed away, Adam and Emily were in a parking lot when one of her favorite songs came on the radio. Emily got out of the truck and asked her dad to dance with her but he didn’t. He didn’t get to spend a lot of time with his daughter, but when he did, he adored her. After she passed away, Adam felt very guilty for not dancing with his daughter because that was his last chance he got to do that and he refused to. After she died, he felt like he needed to step up and be a better father to his 15-year-old son, Dylan. As a result of him wanting to be a better father, he had a contract that explained the father he wanted to be and all four of those fathers also got in on this contract. They all had a ceremony and committed to this contract.

There was also a father that didn’t work at the police station that Adam and the rest of the fathers befriended with and his name was Javier and before he became friends with them he was very poor and couldn’t support his kids and his family but then after he got their help and advice he went in on the contract also and they all became better fathers and better husbands.

In my opinion, this is a very impactful and serious movie. It is the best movie that I personally have ever seen and I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who asks. It is a Christian-based movie but is also an awesome movie. I would rate this movie a 10 because it has very touching parts and was a very impactful movie. It is very interesting and will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
