An athlete’s thoughts

OPINION – This soccer season has been the big talk since the first day of school in August. We have heard there should be some pretty good talent coming in and we were excited to see what they had to offer. Many people were excited for this year because last year we won conference and districts. As we headed into the next round against Incarnate Word Academy for sectionals, we took a tough 3-2 loss. We did what we had to do by playing our hearts out and leaving everything on the field; we just didn’t get the result we would have liked.

I have a lot of confidence in my team to reach our goal which is to win state this year. We have a very skilled team and I feel like we all know we can make it far if we play together and play our hardest every game.
