With the Blues loss to the Red Wings on Sunday, the NHL regular season is over.
On Thursday, April 17, the Blues (52-23-7, 111 points) open the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks (46-21-15, 107 points) at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis for the First Round of the playoffs.
The Blues and the Blackhawks will have a Best-of-7 series to decide who will go on to the next round to face either the Colorado Avalanche (52-22-7, 111 points) or Minnesota Wild (43-26-12, 98 points).
Although the Blues have done very well this season, how they will do in the playoffs is uncertain. With key players such as captain David Backes, assistant captain T.J. Oshie, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Brenden Morrow all injured, fans can only hope for the best.
