The Robotics team continues to grow in numbers and it continues to find success at competitions. For the first time in Pattonville Robotics history, the club will be hosting its own competition at the high school on Nov. 19.

“We’ve doubled in size since my freshman year,” junior Michael Cobb-Shultz said. “It’s amazing to watch us grow as a team.”

The Robotics team, which now has about 20 members, has advanced farther into its competitions and has grown in Cobb’s 3 years as a member. The Robotics team this past year made it to Super Regionals, and hopes to make it even farther this year.

“I’ve met a lot of friends throughout the years,” Cobb said.

Robotics has become an open environment for students.

“I like how it is right now,” junior Kevin Stewart said. “I’d like to continue how good we are doing throughout next year, and continue to grow in power and numbers.”

The team is sponsored by Ms. Sue Mathis and meets every Tuesday from 2:30-5 p.m. and on Thursdays, 5:30-8 p.m.
