Of Two Minds is a Lifetime Network movie about a woman, Billie (Kristin Davis) who takes in her schizophrenic sister after their mom dies. Elizabeth (Tammy Blanchard), mostly referred to as ‘Baby’, moves in with Billie when their mom suffers a heart attack and dies. Billie and Baby do not always get along and had a falling out as teens. You quickly begin to see that Baby has “special needs.” When Baby comes into the guest room, she unloads a monstrous amount of anti-schizophrenic medicine.

Baby often sits alone on the porch seeming to do nothing but stare into space. Fed up with Baby’s standoffish tendencies, Billie decides that she needs to get Baby out of the house. Baby goes with Billie to work at a clothing boutique. When trying on clothes by herself, Baby has an episode begging the voices to stop as she runs in place banging on the door. Billie quickly unlocks the door and drives home without looking at Baby. Baby soon develops an unhealthy attachment to her nephew Davis (Alex Le Bas) as he shows the same tendencies Baby did growing up. Davis also helps Baby with her computer and shows extreme kindness toward Baby. At a party Davis and Baby are alone and Baby kisses him in a romantic way. Billie sees this and slaps Baby across the face screaming, “What is the matter with you?! What are you doing? This is sick!” Baby is scared and confused as to why Billie is acting like this.

The movie goes on with Baby awkwardly hanging around the house and Davis unsure of how to even approach her.

The acting in this is phenomenal. At certain points you almost forget that they are acting. This is definitely not a “family” movie but rather a movie which you would watch with mom or a group of friends. The language can be demeaning and the themes are a bit mature for anyone under the age of 15.
