Curriculum Night is offered to help current and future students get to know about the classes and programs offered at Pattonville High School. The booths where the different departments present their programs are set up similar to a convention hall. Families will be able to visit any booth and will be free to ask about whatever classes they are interested in. Some booths have activities or handouts for more information.

All students in grades 8-11 and their parents are invited to Curriculum Night on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Pattonville High School. Curriculum booths will be set up in the Commons and cafeteria to provide a look at course offerings, learn about class opportunities, talk to teachers from every department, and ask questions.

Current 8th grade students will begin with an assembly in the main gym at 7 p.m. The curriculum booths will be open from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Assistant principal Ms. Cara Hiripitiyage is hosting the event and will be helped by other teachers and administrators who will be on hand to talk about the school.

One group that is helping run the events is the Peer Assistance and Leadership class who will be having a few of the students available to answer some of the questions about the school.

PALs sponsor Ms. Janet Kuhn said it is a great opportunity for current students to help.

“They inform the incoming 8th graders about some of the programs at school.”

This year, there will be around five PALs that are going to answer the basic questions and also help with the question and answer portion of the program.

Curriculum Night is a chance for current students and their parents to get more information about classes before having to register on Stop Day on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
