Lauren Artelt is a sophomore at Pattonville High School. She is involved in band and takes art classes every semester because she loves to draw. Lauren has answered 5 questions for PattonvilleTODAY:

 

Q: Who inspires you and why?

A: “My mother. She has taught me to learn from defeat and appreciate life to it’s fullest.”

 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your childhood?

A: “When I was five, my parents and I rebuilt our pool. It was the best summer of my life because I liked catching all the frogs from my pool.”

 

Q: What is your dream job?

A: “I would like to be a marine biologist. I’ve always been a fanatic about the ocean.”

 

Q: Do you have a funny joke you’d like to tell?

A: “Sure! Two atoms are walking down the street. One atom says to the other, ‘I think I lost an electron!’ The other atom says, ‘Are you sure?’ The first atom

replies, ‘Yes, I’m positive!’”

 

Q: What song do you feel really matches your life?

A: “Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. It’s a poetic and strong song.”
