Freshman Raul Rico is very excited to perform in his first choir concert ever.

New to the district this year, Rico did not participate in any activities when he was a student at Ritenour, but said something inside of him inspired him to try out and do something different when he came to Pattonville.

At first, the transition felt peculiar to him. One being because Rico was used to going to Ritenour Middle School, and second, this is his first year of being in high school.

“At first, I was really shy and slightly scared to go to Pattonville, because I thought everyone would hate me because I went to Ritetnour,” Rico said, “but now that I’m here, I’m not scared. Everyone is so nice here.”

Coming to Pattonville High School has really changed Rico and he said it has changed him in a very good way because it has made him step out of his comfort zone and helped him realize his big passion for singing that he never knew he had.

The first choir concert of the year will be held on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

“I can’t even lie, I truly love Pattonville and now I truly love high school and what it has made of me,” Rico said. “Oh and one last thing, remember to come watch me sing Thursday, Nov. 2.”
