On Dec. 7, all levels of Pattonville choir and orchestra will be holding a joint concert at the high school in the auditorium.

During this concert, they will be doing a piece together called “Gloria” by Vivaldi. It is a work which is a movement composed of 12 songs and includes a total of three solos. “Domine Deus,” “Domine Deus Angus Dei,” and “Qui Sedes Ad Dexteram” will be performed by senior Nadia Maddex, freshman Tony Washington and senior Tamia Tyler. “Domino Deus Agnus Dei” will also feature a cello solo that will be played by senior Aaron Garner.

“I was really excited to get a solo,” senior Nadia Maddex said. “We don’t get them often and to have three is great. I can’t wait to hear how we sound with the orchestra.”

In addition to the Vivaldi piece, they will also be performing “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and “Sleigh Ride,” a piece they perform every year at the holiday concert.

Doors open to the concert at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts promptly at 7 p.m. It will be approximately an hour long.
