The most stressful time of the school year for teachers and students is here: Finals.

Finals are worth a certain percentage of a student’s grade that can either bring it down or make it go up. Before, during, and after finals, students worry about their score, making sure they don’t fail.

Studying is the most important task a student can do for preparing for finals — if the only thing.

There are many effective ways to study for finals. Students use different websites, review old notes and homework assignments, and take practice quizzes.

“My teachers are giving me past homework questions to go over, like past quizzes and tests,” Edmond said. “I don’t think I’m prepared, but I think I will be at the end of the week.”

Michael Marksbury said he likes to study by using Quizlet and downloading guides from the Moodle because it works best for him.

“I go on Quizlet, and I go on the Moodle and usually there’s always stuff up there and I always download those.”

Dilara Joshkun said she rewrites all of her notes until she remembers them, and to prepare for the final days, she makes sure to eat and to get enough sleep.

“To study for finals, I usually write down all my notes, rewrite them until I know them by heart. And you have to sleep even though you don’t want to because you want to pass your finals and want to do good and you don’t want to be stuck with an 89 in a really easy class,” Joshkun said. “But you have to sleep, you have to eat. It’s almost over.”
