Pattonville’s Thespian Troupe took the 2018 Thespian Conference by storm. Three events got a Superior rating, three events got an Excellent, and one event got a Good rating.

Senior Nadia Maddex attended her last Thespian Conference making the most out of every day.

“I went last year and left with great memories and new skills,” she said. “This year I used what I learned to get a Superior in Duet Musical with one of my favorite people, William Pirrie. Not only did we compete but we had fun and that is what took our performance over the top.”

At ThesCon, the thespians got to attend many workshops, dance classes, makeup classes, many tech classes, and even circus workshops. There were many college booths set up giving information about music and theatre programs and there were also booths and little stores set up everywhere to allow people to buy thespian merchandise. Raffles were even offered to attendees to get the chance to win hats, buttons, show tickets, and even signed Broadway posters.

There were many productions that the Thespians got to watch, good food to eat, and many friends to be made. They celebrated a great weekend at the conference with a Luau-themed dance.

If you want a chance to see some of these thespians in action, come and see Pattonville’s production of Beauty and the Beast in the high school auditorium Feb. 15-18.
