Katie Basta is graduating this year and was ranked No. 7 in her senior class and will be heading to the University of Kansas in the fall. She was Pattonville’s nominee for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar-Athlete and took some time to answer questions about high school.

Most Memorable Pattonville Moment: “I will always remember the football game at Vianney this year. They beat us the first time we played them this year so I was nervous. It was such an intense game because it kept going back and forth, but we won at the very end of the game and stormed their field. I definitely cried at that game.”

What Will You Miss The Most?: “I will miss the football games. I have been a part of the student section since my freshman year so Ill miss cheering on my team with my friends. Also I’ll miss hanging out with friends after the game, and going out to eat.”

Favorite Class: “World Foods is my favorite class. We get to explore different countries and eat really great food.”

Favorite Teacher: “Ms. Moritz since she always helps me with my problems and she was a really good teacher. I had a lot for fun in her classes.”

Future: “University of Kansas to major in architecture”

Activities/Clubs: “Varsity softball, varsity basketball, varsity track, NHS, Renaissance, and GAL-XC.
