Students in Capstone class help set up prom ticket sales

Capstone is the highest computer science course one can take at Pattonville, and every school year they have a project that they contribute many hours working on to benefit the entirety of the school.

This year Michel Pieper, Kyle Murphy, and Greg Bahr had their sights on Prom.

The students enrolled in the class created the whole process of purchasing prom tickets much more easier than past years.

With using school IDs and having a device to scan them, the program they created ensured if a student qualified for the opportunity to purchase a ticket to homecoming or prom.

Capstone students would scan and then check the overall attendance rate of students and find out if the student had any outstanding fines.

Capstone aimed to make the process of selling event tickets not only more efficient, but much less stressful for any ticket vendors.

Gregory Bahr considers it something that will go beyond his time at Pattonville.

“This program can be used in future years to make all Pattonville events easier to plan.”
