Meet new teacher: Ms. Claudia Miller

Ms. Claudia Miller has been working in the Pattonville School District for 24 years but has only worked at Heights and Holman middle schools until this year. She joins the Modern Language Department at the high school as a new teacher.

She now teaches German at all three schools.

She starts at the high school teaching German 1 during first and second hour.

“I then teach during 4th hour at Heights teaching German 1A and 1B in one room to students in grades 7 and 8,” she said. “Then I have to go to Holman and teach German 1A and 1B again in one room.”

Miller chose to teach German because she is from Germany.

“I grew up there until I moved here at the age of 22.”

She doesn’t just enjoy teaching students a new language.

“I became a teacher because I enjoy interacting with people and each day is new and different.”

Outside of school, Miller enjoys going on walks, reading, swimming, and doing yoga.
