Get the beginning of 2019 off and running by joining the Half Marathon Club. Students will have the opportunity to join the running group at the high school and participate in the 2019 Go! St. Louis Half Marathon.

If students want to get in shape or just have something to do in the winter, they are encouraged to join the club that will run the 13.1 race in April. The rewards of joining the Students on the GO! race team include making new friends, earning free running clothes and shoes, and a chance to earn scholarships.

The Club runs Mondays and Wednesdays after school and on Saturday mornings at Forest Park.

Modern language teacher Ms. Shelley Christian is the sponsor of the club.

“No running experience is required to join,” she said. “We’ll start with low distances and then we’ll gradually increase the miles until the race day on April 7.”

The club will have a meeting during Contact Time on Oct. 18 in Ms. Christian’s room (H106).
