The Pattonville School District has canceled school for Wednesday, Jan. 30, due to inclement weather.

The announcement was made initially by email from the district superintendent, Dr. Tim Pecoraro.

Due to the severe cold weather and wind chills impacting our region tonight through tomorrow, we have made the decision to cancel school for Wednesday, Jan. 30. All after-school and evening activities on Wednesday except the high school wrestling match are also canceled. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we adjust our schedules to adapt to severe winter weather conditions. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Thursday.

An email from high school principal Dr. Joe Dobrinic announced changes to the weekly schedule.

Due to the cancellation of school on Wednesday January 30, the following changes will be in effect this week:

Following the “Snow Schedule” procedures described in the PHS Teacher Handbook, Thursday, January 31 and Friday, February 1 will both be “A” Days. This modification to our schedule is also referenced in the Student Handbook and Behavior Guide.

There will be no early release day on Thursday, January 31.  School will be in session until 2:13 PM on both Thursday and Friday of this week.

Senior Night for the wrestling team will be held as regularly scheduled. The tri-meet against Fox and Kirkwood high schools is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
