Pattonville boys’ basketball (8-12) is now 1-3 in conference play after losing another league match-up game, this time against the Parkway Central Colts (15-5) on Friday night.

The Pirates battled hard against the Colts who were up the majority of the game, but the Pirates were able to take the lead briefly in the third quarter. Pattonville ended up losing 63-57 spoiling Senior Night for its players.

Parkway Central came prepared for this game by bringing along their own student section who battled with Pattonville’s on which school had the most spirit.

Central’s basketball team really showed what they were about when in the first quarter, Devion Harris tried posterizing Pattonville guard Andre Webb but was unsuccessful. Even though Harris was unsuccessful, his attempt really set the tone for the rest of the game.

Pattonville was able to stay close behind Julius Erby’s 22 points and 12 rebounds. Erby who was all over the floor Friday night also clocked in 5 blocks, his second highest total of the season. Guard Andre Webb had 12 points and Alijah Carter added 11. Carter fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter.

Devion Harris and Mello Ball for the Colts had 20-point performances with Harris collecting 10 rebounds for a double-double. Jayden Littlejohn clocked in 16 points with half of his total coming from the free-throw line where he went 8-for-9 for the night.
