Court nominees dress up the week of prom
Prom is on May 3 at the Westport Sheraton and the theme is Enchanted Forest. The students on prom court are showing it by dressing up every day this week.
The senior prom court girl nominees are Makayla Harden, Aliza Ahmed, Hannah Schamber, Bianca Johnson, Lauren Brewer, and Kendall Battle; and the boys are Will Polster, Jacob Wilfong, Terrell Henderson, Mason Murphy, Isaiah Wilkes, and Sam Sanderson.
The junior prom court girls nominees are Nicole McDaniel, Keeley Peters, Emily Schrumpf, and Aisha Alvi; and the boys are Jack Goetz, Thomas McFarland, Rodney Wallace, and Terrell Sanderson.
Senior girl prom court nominees answered some questions about being on court.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT DRESSING UP?
Lauren Brewer: “I like dressing up and looking cute so my teachers don’t think I am a scrub.”
Kendall Battle: “I like everyone’s compliments, and also it helps boost my confidence to dress up every day.”
Q: WHAT’S THE HARDEST PART ABOUT DRESSING UP?
Aliza Ahmed: “The hardest part about dressing up is walking in heels from the basement to the F wing.”
Hannah Schamber: “Getting up to get dressed is the hardest part of this week.”
Q: WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THIS YEAR?
Makayla Harden: “I think that me and Sam Sanderson will win this year because we are the best option.”
Bianca Johnson: “I really don’t know who will win, I think it’s anyone’s game to win.”
