Pattonville’s band members celebrated Senior Night at their concert on May 7. All of the seniors were recognized for their hard work and dedication to band over all of the years.

The night was emotional because some – if not all – of the seniors have been in band for over 5 years and created really good friendships with everyone including the directors.

Senior Kelly Widiger was honored during the concert.

“I made a lot of good friends that I’m going to keep in touch with after I graduate and getting a scholarship check at the end was really nice.”

The seniors played with their bands and at the end of the night were called up and were each given a blanket from the directors in honor of how grateful they were for joining and sticking to band over the years.

Senior Allison Waldie received her gift at the concert.

”I’m very sad it’s over and I’m going to miss everyone, but I’m so ready to graduate.”

At the end of the concert, the band directors threw a surprise performance of the alma mater played by past graduates for Ms. Sara Deutschmann who is retiring at the end of the year.
