St. Louis Post Dispatch Names Emily Schrumpf as Scholar Athlete
On Friday, May 1, senior Emily Schrumpf was selected as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete from Pattonville High School.
For her senior year, Schrumpf has been a part of Varsity Girls’ Soccer, STUCO, NHS, NAHS, Rho Kappa, and SIT Team. She was also this year’s Senior Class Vice President. During her previous years at PHS, she was apart of Cross Country, Varsity Softball, and BSAAC.
“When I got the email from Mr. Hebrank that said I was selected as Pattonville’s Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete, I was shocked,” Schrumpf stated. “There is so much athletic talent and so many high academic achievers in my grade that I never expected to be chosen.”
“To me, being chosen as the Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete means that you have shown continuous dedication to and success in your academics and athletics throughout your time in high school,” Schrumpf voiced.
Every year, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete program chooses one student from every school district. The requirement is that they participate in any athletics and excel in academics.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Pattonville High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase new equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
