Show someone you care this Valentine’s Day and send some Carnations.  The Student Council will be selling Carnations at all lunches and they will be delivered on Valentine’s Day.  Each flower costs $1.00 and this year, you can add a heart sucker to your card for an additional dollar and the proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.  Carnations will be sold until Friday, Feb. 10th.

Students had many positive suggestions for improving the climate in PHS cafeteria.  The Pirate Code Committee has listened and is responding in the following ways: First, posters hanging at the head of lines will give students reminders about how to show respect to custodians and fellow students.  Second, administration is working on several of the suggestions like increasing supervision in lunch lines and making sure all food types are more available.  And lastly, a “Meet the Custodians” PowerPoint presentation will begin playing during lunch on Wednesday, so watch and you will be amazed at what you will learn.

Remember the Pirate Code…Be Respectful.  Be Responsible.  Be Involved.
