Creve Coeur Patch has nominated Ashanti Carey as a candidate for the Preseason Patch MVP located in the surrounding area. The spring sports season has just begun, and for the first time, they are nominating who they think will be “the top performer this season.” The voting is open until 4 p.m. on Friday March 22, 2013. The winner will be announced March 24, 2013.

A.) It’s a great honor; I like being recognized for all the hard work I put myself through.
Q.) How is your spring sport going?
A.) Really good! I love PVS (Pattonville Varsity Soccer) and I’m positive that we are on our way to State!
Q.) Why do you think you were nominated?
A.) I’m really fast so that’s unique about me and stands out. I’ve been playing soccer all myself, and that’s probably why.
Q.) What does this nomination mean to you?
A.) It’s always nice to be recognized for something, but I’m more focused on improving my team than anything I could ever do individually. My team is everything to me!
