Pattonville bowler strikes a 300

On Sunday Feb. 12, the Pattonville Bowling Club had one member throw a perfect game of 300. Sean Glankler accomplished this feat at Crest Bowl by striking 12 strikes in a row.

“I was shaking and I was so excited,” said Glankler. “It was an amazing feeling because it was the highest (score) I ever got.”

Glankler explained that he was very excited about his feat because he was competing against Hazelwood Central in a match-up for first place. This was Glankler’s first perfect game since he began bowling.

Sean is currently the captain of the Pattonville Green Bowling Squad and now has an average of 195. With his efforts from this past week, Glankler has helped his team move to the top of Division A’s standings.

Pattonville has had at least one perfect game each year since the team was established three years ago. The other two belong to current Pattonville senior Dylan Dorey.

Glankler hopes to keep up his success, along with the other bowlers representing Pattonville, until the season ends in April. The team competes almost every Sunday in either league play or a tournament at a variety of bowling alleys.
