Mardi Gras 2012

This Saturday, Feb. 18, the Mardi Gras partying will kick off in the heart of St. Louis. The Beggin’ Pet Parade was last Sunday and truly showed the craziness that Mardi Gras brings and will continue to bring until Fat Tuesday. People went as far as to dye their dogs different colors for the parade. The goal was to break the world record for having the most dogs in costume and they almost doubled it. After having a great success last weekend, it will continue through this weekend as well.

Food, drinks and entertainment will not be in short supply in Soulard this weekend.

The parade will start at Busch Stadium at 11 a.m. and end at Anheuser Busch.

Maps of the parade route and where events during the weekend can be found here.

Although Mardi Gras is not usually associated as a family event, the parade can be enjoyable for all ages. Free beads are given out along with candy.

If someone is looking for something to do in St. Louis this weekend, don’t miss out one of the biggest events of the year.
