Juana Gordillo is a senior that really enjoys playing sports but loves tennis the most.
She said that it was amazing winning her first game.
“Hearing the crowd cheer was so amazing after the game was over,” Gordillo said.
Gordillo has been playing tennis for three years now, and her mind is set on making the varsity squad.
Before she joined the team, she said she had absolutely no tennis experience, but now she’s “an awesome player” on the team.
Gordilllo spends six days a week practicing, because she’s sticking to her dream of being on the varsity tennis team.
She said one of her favorite quotes is “Determination is the difference between what you want now and what you want most.”
She will have her chance to get what she wants when the tennis team travels to St. Dominic to begin the season on Aug. 28.
