ACT comes to Pattonville on Feb. 7

IMG_5181.JPGStudents around the nation will be taking the ACT on Saturday, Feb. 7, and Pattonville will be one of the local testing centers hosting students to take the test.

For junior Jordan Colquitt, this will be her second time taking the test.

“The first time taking the test was really nerve racking for me,” Colquitt said, who first took the test at Ladue High School.

Taking the test this time at her own school, Colquitt said “it’s more comforting for me being able to take the test here at Pattonville.“

Students taking the test this weekend will need to remember to bring multiple sharpened No. 2 pencils, a calculator (graphing calculators are permitted), a valid I.D., and their printed ACT ticket from the ACT website.

“It’s really important to make sure you have all the required things that the ACT makes you bring like your ticket and a valid I.D.,” Christi Hamil said. “But I think it’s really important to bring water and little snacks to keep you energized and hydrated through the whole test.“

The test begins at 8 a.m. and students are advised to arrive at the school at least 10 minutes before the start time.
