When Ms. Lauren Hoff was a student in high school, she took Ceramics as a class and was a teacher’s assistant and enjoyed helping the freshmen.

“I soon realized that I enjoyed helping the students with their work more than I liked to create own,” Hoff said. “Since then, I have known that I wanted to be a teacher.”

Hoff went through a great deal of schooling to reach this point in her teaching career.

“I was in college for five years because I got two degrees at once at Maryville University.”

Hoff thinks that she is an easy-going teacher.

“I would consider myself fun to a limit,” she said. “Students should feel open, but have limitations and rules.”

Hoff considers her own life fun and one that has limitations and rules, but she has a very interesting bucket list.

“I would really like to flip a house,” Hoff said. “I would also enjoy taking a backpacking trip through Iceland.”

She enjoys art, of course, but does have a favorite type of art.

“I like paint. I am a paint major and I’ve always been good at painting,” Hoff said. “I enjoy it because you can hang up paintings in your home.”
