The Class of 2017 will be taking a Senior Trip on April 19. Well, it’s not that kind of Senior Trip.
When the juniors are taking the statewide ACT and the freshmen and sophomores are taking the practice ACT, the seniors will have the choice of four options in which they can participate in.
The choices for the field trips are:
- King Pin Lanes
- SportsFusion of Chesterfield
- Community Service
- Individual College Visit
At King Pin Lanes, seniors will receive two FREE games, bowling shoes, lunch (pizza and drink) and sand volleyball.
For SportsFusion of Chesterfield, students will need to bring $10 dollars in advance, and then have options of laser tag, mini golf, rock climbing, dodge ball, inflatable obstacle course, and junior sports basketball court. Lunch of two slices of pizza and a bottle of water will be provided. Seniors need to make sure to come dressed and prepared with suitable athletic wear.
The Community Service option will have more details of locations closer to the date of the trip.
Lastly, if seniors choose the College Visit option, they need to contact the admissions department at the college/university of their choice and let them know of their intent to visit the campus.
Transportation will be provided for everything but the individual college visit.
Senior Morgan Stubblefield is choosing the college visit option.
“I’m planning on visiting a college because I’m ready to leave the high school,” Stubblefield said. “I think it will be exciting to see the school I’m going to again.”
Senior parents and guardians received an email that is filled with the field trip options. In the email, a permission slip form was included which needs to be completed by April 19.
