St. Louis Blues attack a new season

The St. Louis Blues season began this past Thursday when they played at home against the Edmonton Oilers. The Blues won 3-1 with goals scored from Robby Fabbri, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Troy Brouwer, while goalie Brian Elliott madeIMG_4353 a total of 23 saves.

Avid Blues fan Maddi Gamache said she thinks the first game was great.

“The boys played really well,” Gamache said. ”They have so much potential.”

Gamache grew up in a hockey family, which is why she loves the Blues so much.

“As a little girl I was surrounded by hockey players and constantly watching hockey games and going to my relative’s hockey games.”

On Saturday, the Blues took on the Minnesota Wild as an away game. The two goals from Alexander Steen and  Vladimir Tarasenko weren’t enough to take down the Wild in a loss, 3-2.

“But, the second game was rough, considering Minnesota scored two goals in a matter of 21 seconds,” Gamache said.

On Tuesday, the Blues have an away game against the Calgary Flames.

“We have a whole season ahead of us.”
