The Blind Side

IMG_0864Preservation of the quarterback is the most important job in football.

As the left tackle on the varsity football team, junior Judge Williams makes sure his quarterback is in safety at all times on the field.

In order to do that, Williams has been putting in a lot of work ever since middle school to prepare for the time he steps on the field in a varsity uniform.

“I do cross-fields, up-downs, wind sprints, stadiums, and I’m always in the weight room.”

Williams is all about winning and he will do anything for the victory, so he works hard throughout the season and during the offseason.

To prepare for practices so he can get better, Williams said, “I listen to hype music in the locker room and go over all my plays.”

Williams is ready to make this season one to remember, and because of that, he is ready to shine on the field under the lights on a Friday night.

“On game days, I wake up ready, I listen to music all day and get into my zone.”

He loves to play hard for his team, but as a individual Williams has all the tools to move on to the next level.

Williams, when younger, said he “wanted to play football because I wanted to lose weight, I was a really chubby kid,” but now has goals to play Division I college football at the University of Oregon.
