Varsity field hockey team took promotional photos to help recruit new middle school and high school players. The photos will be used on posters that will be placed around Holman and Heights Middle School to promote an interest in field hockey.

“We want to get our numbers up to have a full junior varsity and varsity team,” assistant coach Mike Mooney said. “Right now, our team is merged into one so our kids have to play in both games and it’s exhausting for the players. Also, the more players we get, the better we can get and the more competitive we can get.”

This season, the field hockey team has improved and Coach Jessica Dalton and Coach Mooney have big goals for the girls.

“We are getting better every year and we want to be among the best teams in the St. Louis area,” Mooney said. “We have been getting better as the season progressed, we are 4-5 now. We anticipate on having a winning record and getting a high seat for playoffs.”

The next field hockey game at home is Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Pattonville High School.
