Bailey chosen as Penn Station’s Athlete of the Month for February

Bobby Bailey is introduced at the Missouri Class 5 state championship game.

Senior Bobby Bailey has been chosen as February’s finalist for “Penn Station Athlete of the Year” (PSAY).

All this month, Bailey’s name, picture and biographical information will be featured in each of the local area Penn Station restaurants.

Bailey and his family were delighted to hear the news.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to win the scholarship,” he said. “It’s an honor.”

Aside from having to be a senior, students chosen for the PSAY award must “demonstrate excellence in athletics, academics and good citizenship.”

Bailey played defensive end for the Pattonville football team which advanced to the Class 5 state championship game. He was named All-Conference Second Team, Academic All State and Suburban XII All Academic.

Bailey will receive a plaque for himself and a plaque for the school, 500 BOGO sub certificates, a catered party for 10 at a local Penn Station Restaurant, and a T-shirt.

Most importantly, Bailey is automatically enrolled in a chance to win a $5,000 college scholarship in May.

Penn Station works with Fox Sports Midwest to promote the program. In this partnership, Bailey will also receive 2 tickets to a selected Blues game and will do a meet and greet with Darren Pang. Pattonville also has the opportunity to have Pang come to a pep rally and present the award at the school.
