Pattonville High School hosted the North County College Fair on Thursday, Sept. 20. More than 80 post-secondary options for students attended the event.

Pattonville High School hosted the North County College Fair on Sept. 20. This year, 89 colleges from across the Midwest were available to meet with students and talk to them about their post-high school plans.

The biggest question asked senior year is, “What are you doing after high school?” As of me, I have no clue yet, but college, military, and technical school is in the future for the Class of 2019.

Here are what 12 seniors at Pattonville plan to do after high school:

Kyle Guard: “I plan on attending Ranken Technical College.”

Trinity Wessler: “I want to go to a 4-year university in state.”

Alyssa Stough: “Currently trying to find an EMT class and then hopefully go to East Central for my paramedic school. I also want to go through the St. Louis Fire Academy.”

Bridget Dermody: “College?”

Courtney Woods: “I’m starting at UCM in January.”

Juan Romero: “Air Force.”

Audrey Watson: “My plan after high school is to go to college.”

Briana Smith: “I plan on majoring in journalism at Mizzou. Hopefully, I can work for the Times or any news organization.”

Taylor Monroe: “To get my beautician’s license and do hair and makeup while I’m in college.”

Abigail Twyman: “I plan on going to college to get a music education degree and then become a high school band teacher.”

Aeeda Talukder: “I’m going to college after high school and might move to Washington D.C. after college.”

Brandon James: “Right after high school, I plan on attending either community college at Flo Valley or going straight to a university like Truman or Missouri Western. I want to pursue a career in teaching as of right now, but honestly that choice is likely to change because as most people will tell you, your major in college is more than likely going to change while you’re attending college.”
