Olympic Games create bond between countries through competition

Out of all the fantastic sports that are created and played worldwide, the Winter Olympics has a wide variety played throughout the 16 days of the Winter Olympics.

Although the Opening Ceremony was held earlier in the day, it won’t air in the United States until tonight because NBC wants to show it during primetime television.

But “Let the games begin!” on Saturday.

There will be many sports that start this weekend such as the biathlon, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, speed skating and snowboarding.

There are more sports to be played throughout the 16 days such as alpine skiing, bobsledding, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, luge, Nordic combined, short track speed skating, skeleton and ski jumping.

This is just the start to the long journey the United States athletes chose to be involved in.

The Olympics have always created a bond between other countries around the world. Starting today, all of the different countries will be gathered together in one stadium to celebrate the start of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

All these athletes started from nothing and have become something because of a dream they had.
