Robert Thompson from DeSoto High School has been named the new associate principal at Pattonville High School, according to an email sent by building principal Dr. Joe Dobrinic. He replaces Tiffany Besse who is taking a new position at the Learning Center. The Board of Education approved Mr. Thompson for the associate principal position during a board meeting on April 7th, and will begin his new position on July 1.
A phone call was placed to DeSoto High School to interview Thompson, but he was unavailable due to being in meetings all day. Another attempt will be made to reach him.
In the email, Dobrinic said:
“Mr. Thompson is currently an assistant principal and district athletics/activities director in the DeSoto No. 73 School District. He previously served as assistant principal at Hazelwood East High School and as a physical education teacher at Hazelwood East and Herculaneum high schools. He is also currently head football coach at DeSoto. Mr. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a master’s degree in educational administration from Southwest Baptist University and a specialist’s degree in educational administration from Missouri Baptist University.
Mr. Thompson brings many years of experience in different school communities. He will do a great job helping us in our mission to prepare all students for rewarding futures in college or a career after high school. Please join me in welcoming him to his new role.”
