After all the votes for Pattonville School Board were casted and then counted, Andrea Glenn received the news. Glenn was elected to be a part of the school board. Her daughter, junior Anise Glenn, said she is excited that her mom is going to be involved more with the school district.
At home on election night, Glenn said, “We had a celebratory dinner and everyone was cheering and it was just a happy moment.”
Last year, Glenn ran for school board but wasn’t elected. This year, she did something different.
“This year, we knew what to do so we put out posters earlier and went around and gave out fliers and spread the word.”
Information from Pattonville School District website states that Andrea Glenn is employed as the director of human resources at J.W. Terrill. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the University of Kansas-Lawrence and a master’s degree in human resources management from Webster University. Her statement of purpose for running was “The Pattonville school board must be the eyes, ears and voice of the community. I am committed to maintaining Pattonville School District’s legacy of excellence and distinctiveness by collaborating with parents, support staff, teachers, administration and board members in a transparent, open environment to ensure educational opportunities for ALL children.”
Also elected this year were incumbents Cindy Candler and Tami Hohenstein. Andrew Ostrowski was also on the ballot.
