Mr. David Gross might not really consider himself a new teacher at Pattonville since he has been at the high school for the past three years, but he is a new full time teacher in the social studies department.

Gross earned his undergraduate’s degree  from Mizzou and his master’s degree from Lindenwood University. Before teaching, Gross totaled over 20 years of sales/project management experience.

He has a passion and determination to connecting on a personal level with his students that is truly inspiring.

“As a high school teacher, I have learned that the process of teaching is, at least for me, a partnership between the students and teacher and that learning history, in many ways, should be fun and engaging,” Gross said.

He said he loves the challenge of getting to know each one of his students as an individual and understands that although every student may not share his passion for history, his goal is that his students can appreciate the role that history plays in the world around them.
