National Honor Society, more commonly known at Pattonville as NHS, is accepting applications for new inductees to become a part of the club. The due date is Friday, Aug. 28.
“There is a National Honor Society in every high school,” sponsor and teacher Mr. Ryan Brueckmann said. “It’s for juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and they must have 25 or more service hours.”
Staff members choose applicants to be inducted based upon scholarship, character, leadership and service within the school and community.
“I joined NHS because we’re involved in many events that benefit the school and community,” NHS club president senior Kalekidan Yeshiwas said. “I also like the way the program is run.”
All NHS applications are due on Friday, Aug. 28 before the end of the school day. Applications must be completely filled out and include a $25 check made out to Pattonville NHS and the student’s community service record.
Students may see Ms. Amy Schwendemann or Mr. Ryan Brueckmann for more details.
