The annual North County College Fair will take place this Thursday in the main gym. It will start immediately after school at 1:15 p.m. and will run until about 2:30 p.m.
“The college fair is a great opportunity for all students,” college counselor Ms. Michelle Luraschi said. “It is a one-stop shop to explore and learn about many universities.”
This year’s fair has 68 colleges registered and will be open to all Pattonville students and their families. In addition, Incarnate Word Academy, North County Christian and North Tech will be attending.
“We have a large number of schools that will be giving out information about specific programs they have, as well as what their campus life is like.”
Luraschi said it is recommended that students sign up on GoToCollegeFairs.com so they are able to see more schools in less time. Pre-registering takes only 2 to 3 minutes and allows students to create a scannable college profile to provide to college representatives.
“When you sign up online, you will be given a barcode that will be scanned at each booth,” Luraschi said. “This barcode will give the school your information so that they can have an idea of who you are.”
Students are also encouraged to bring copies of their college resume and dress neatly and nicely.
