The deadline for the first Gallery G Art Show of the school year is Tuesday, Oct. 27.
The show’s theme is “Colour” and all art must be submitted to Ms. Beth Kathriner in Room G108.
This year’s theme is ‘Colour’ and is based off a quote from Claude Monet: “Colour is my day-long obsession, joy, and torment.”
“‘Colour’ is spelled in the British way because it is taken from the Claude Monet quote,” Kathriner said.
The artwork is not strictly meant to represent one way of thinking, and is open to the artist’s interpretation.
“You can design your artwork either by showing how color is incorporated into your life, or you can just use color in your work,” Kathriner said.
The show is open any student or staff member at the high school and all work created in any medium will be displayed in Gallery G, which is located near the SRO office and the G-Wing.
“All artwork will be displayed from the beginning of November to sometime in early December,” Kathriner said. “All work will be returned to the artists before winter break.”
