National Art Honor Society is making its debut at Pattonville. The informational meeting was on Aug. 30 and interested students should contact their art teacher.
“National Art Honor Society was requested by a student,” art teacher Ms. Beth Kathriner said. “It’s an honor society specific t0 art students that promotes art in our school and community and offers scholarships, art displays opportunities and exposure to art to its members.”
Senior Mackenzie Duetsch has pushed for NAHS to form for the past 2 years.
“I feel that art is something that should be shared with the entire community,” Deutsch. “Art is such a great way to share opinions within our community and it also expresses so many emotions. NAHS was the best way to reach out to people outside of Pattonville, not to mention we get a rainbow honor cord when we graduate.”
NAHS will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month during Homeroom in G108.
