What do students put in their backpacks?

By high school, students most likely have it down by now what they need for school. Whether it’s notebooks, pencils, snacks or a computer, students know what they need in their backpack to get through school and stay happy.

Madi Rigsby carries her backpack around school.

Madi Rigsby said she puts certain things in her backpack before school to get through her days.

“I put my books, folders, binders, and a calculator in my bag to keep me organized for my classes,” she said. “I also put my phone, my phone charger, and my headphones.”

If she forgets any of those items, she feels lost.

“If I forgot something I’d be really disappointed because I use everything in my bag, every day.”

Devin San-Miguel said the most essential thing in his backpack is a writing utensil.

“Pencils, of course.”

The other most needed item is something for his phone.

“The only other thing I bring for my personal use instead of school use is my phone charger because I would be bummed if my phone died.”
