#phsSPIRIT Week begins Oct. 9
October 4, 2017
Homecoming is less than one week away which means Spirit Week is starting soon.
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 9, students will be dressing up to match the daily theme for class competitions and to show school spirit.
During the week of Homecoming, many Pattonville students and teachers show their school spirit by dressing up and participating in the events.
Thursday’s Spirit Day and the parade on Saturday will match the overall theme of this year’s Homecoming: PHS Villemade Heroes.
Kinzi Boyer said she is most excited about dressing up on Tuesday.
“I’m looking forward to the ’90s day because me and my friend Nicki kinda have this 90s/80s thing and it’s so fetch.”
Stephen Mbugua is also excited about participating on Tuesday.
“Probably the ’90s day because I like ’90s clothes,” he said. “It’s tuff, and it’s easy to dress for.”
A Spirit Day that has the most participation and occurs every year is Class Color Day when students wear clothes that correspond with their grade. Samantha Banister said she is looking forward to the last day of Spirit Week.
“I’m excited for Class Color Day on Friday because it’s the easiest day and the most exciting day.”
Spirit Week is a week that most students consider the most exciting week at Pattonville and students are encouraged to participate every day.
