Pattonville volleyball gives back

The Pattonville volleyball program had its ups and downs throughout the fall sports season, but they ended their season on a positive note.

Kyle Walsh, the varsity volleyball coach, suggested the girls give back to their community. On Sunday, Nov. 22, from 11 to 2 p.m., the entire volleyball program met in Creve Couer to provide some helping hands for the NephCure walk. The girls hung up signs, took pictures, facilitated fun games for children, ran a face painting table, and more!

“I feel like the community service activity not only brought the team together, but it brought the whole entire volleyball program together,” senior Kelsey VanHook said. “We were all able to interact with each other.”

The NephCure organization helps to fund research for kidney diseases, workers to attract researchers to the field, and strives to educate the public and raise awareness about Nephrotic Syndrome and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis.

“I really enjoyed it because I like helping others and I enjoy participating in things that the volleyball team does outside of our regular practices and games,” junior Natalie Wildberger said. “I want to be as involved as I possibly can.”
