Will the weather for Saturday’s game be better than last week?

Don’t like the weather for Saturday night’s game? Wait 5 minutes.

The predicted temperature for Columbia, Missouri, at the 7 p.m. starting time of the game, as of Wednesday, is about 44 degrees. But, with Missouri weather always changing, expect it to be different. There is a forecast for Saturday for a low of 31 degrees, and a high of 54 degrees.

It has been cold for most days, and last week even brought some rain.

The Pirates have played in some harsh conditions recently, and it looks like the Class 5 football championship game they play against Staley will be no different.

Will fans still be going strong and supporting the team?

The state final game is being held in Columbia, Missouri, at the Mizzou football field. Many students are traveling to cheer on the team, but aren’t forgetting their warm clothes.

Senior Amber Osborn has been to almost every game, but the distance and predicted weather isn’t keeping her from supporting the team.

“The weather doesn’t matter at this point. We’re at state,” she said. “It could be -4 degrees and people will still go.”

She even joked that everyone would show up in any weather conditions, excluding a tornado.

If you aren’t able to make it to Columbia or not brave enough to face the cold weather, the game can he heard on Facebook Live. The audio-only broadcast of the game will be called by Pirates Sports Net announcers.
