Top 10 (not expensive) date ideas for students on Valentine’s Day
February 5, 2018
With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s important to remember that while your significant other is meaningful, we are still high school students. I don’t know about you guys, but I sure don’t have a whole lot of money. So here are 10 dates that are adventurous and won’t break your bank:
- Volunteering together at an animal shelter: It’s a great way to get those community service hours in and it’s an enjoyable way to spend time with each other and dogs!
- Go Bowling: It’s inexpensive, and also can usually make the time go by.
- St. Andrews Cinema: It won’t have the most recent movies, but St. Andrews is a discounted movie theater. All general admission is $1 so it’s a cute and inexpensive idea to see a movie together.
- Stay inside and make dinner: Making dinner at home for the both of you is fun and experimental. You can both enjoy making each other’s favorite foods.
- Coachlite: Even if you aren’t good at roller skating, it’s a nice idea to spend the night laughing at each other falling. Admission falls between $6 to $8 and you can save $2 if you have your own skates.
- Game Night: Brush off the dust from old board games, and enjoy a night together playing games!
- Gym: Going to a recreational community center to either workout, play basketball, or even indoor swimming can always be an exciting event and helps with getting your energy out.
- Napping: It’s free. It’s comfortable. It’s relaxing.
- Driving around: Having a deep conversation while driving around is something semi-free – not counting gas. But it’s a great way to get to know someone.
- Netflix: You can’t go wrong with staying home and watching movies with someone. Pop some popcorn, get cozy and enjoy the wide variety of movies, TV shows and documentaries.
