Renaissance puts locker signs up for students with above a 3.0 GPA
January 25, 2018
Pattonville’s Renaissance club hung up about 600 locker signs for students who ended first semester of the 2017-2018 school year with a 3.0 grade point average or better.
Each semester, senior members in Renaissance vote on which movie, song, or television show they want to go on the posters the most.
This time around, the club decided on a theme centered around Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Audio/visual director Mr. Scott Robinson is responsible for creating the design of the poster.
In the process of putting up the new posters on Jan. 23, locker signs from last semester with the theme of “The Sandlot” were taken down.
This makes some Renaissance members like senior Kayla Beck feel guilty that the posters are thrown away without giving anyone the time or the chance to save them for memory’s sake.
“It makes me a little sad because it reminds me that this is my last semester of Renaissance.”
Luckily, the posters give underclassmen an incentive to keep up their good grades each year and earn the right to have the new poster on their locker every semester.
