The JV and C-Team won their first matches of the season both in 3-game matches against Parkway South on Monday, March 19. The varsity team could not complete the Pirates sweep at they dropped their match in 3 games to the Patriots.

Pattonville varsity and JV is back in action on Wednesday at home against Ritenour.

All teams fought hard in the season-opening matches, particularly the C- Team, which has freshmen and sophomores making up the roster, who had to battle back for the win after losing the first game of the match.

Freshman Joe Duncan helped motivate his team to the victory.

“Good game, boys! Looking forward to more wins coming up,” he said. “Keep pushing and doing your best.”

The team continued to encourage each other throughout the entire match as they took the games point-by-point and didn’t let any mistakes bring them down.

Team manager freshman Natali Piña said she was beyond proud of this team after Monday.

“They 100 percent proved themselves out there on the court,” she said. “Us managers will continue cheering them on from the sidelines, win or lose, for the rest of the season.”

If you’re looking to come out and support the team, all three levels of volleyball will next play at home on Tuesday, April 3, against Parkway North.
