In just two short weeks, the high school orchestras will be playing its Spring Concert which will be held on May 10.

The String and Concert orchestras will be playing the following songs together: Captain America March, Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump and Incredibles.

So far, the two orchestras have improved tremendously over the past few weeks of practicing.

“I have mixed emotions,” said Kiara Wells, a player from the Honors String Orchestra. “I’m happy it’s the end of the year, but I’m also sad that it’s our last concert. I know this concert will be the best one we’ve had.”

This concert will be bittersweet, that’s for sure. It’s the seniors last concert and the last concert of the year. It’s sure to be an amazing concert and a last hurrah for all involved.

“I’ve really loved being involved in orchestra,” said Caitlyn Coddington, a player in the String Orchestra. “It’s been a long journey and it’s sad to see it go, but we’ve all got to remember the fun times.”

It has all been fun and lively, and audience members will see that in this next concert. Join the orchestras in the auditorium on May 10 for the last orchestra concert of the year.
