Pattonville High School junior and senior students took a 2-day bus trip to different colleges around the Missouri area on April 1617.

“First, we visited Mizzou and from there we visited other colleges like Columbia College, University of Central Missouri, Rockhurst University and Missouri Western University,” Summer Davis said.

Visiting many colleges can be expensive and time consuming and that is why college counselor Ms. Michelle Luraschi and the College and Career Center organizes this trip.

“My favorite part about visiting the colleges was being able to feel the good vibes from each college,” Davis said.

Connecting with a college is really important to Davis because she wants to feel like she’s at home when she is there.

“Based on the college trips, I haven’t got a clear idea about the college I want to attend, but I would definitely consider those schools and recommend them.”

She thought the College Bus Tour was a good idea.

“We ate a lot and we had spare time to waste and UCM was kind enough to let us use their recreational center to play games, rock climb, work out, and more.”

The students had a lot of fun checking out the different schools.

“I would like to thank Mrs. Luraschi, the Pattonville staff and the sponsors for putting this trip together because without it, many people like me wouldn’t have considered those colleges.”
